Went to the Woodmizer open house today at Indianapolis, should have taken a roll of paper towels as there was lots of shiney iron there to drool over, I settled for bringing home a box of 4 degree blades to try on hard and frozen logs. They really are a good bunch of guys that run that place, they go out of their way to answer any questions and help you

Been there several times.  You're right; they are good folks.  Did you take a tour of the museum, or the blade shop?

No tours, but that would have been interesting, been wanting to see how they weld the blades, the ones that I have broke did not break in the weld.

We've been there a few times and made it a point to check out the museum while we were there.  Great people and always willing to help.  Just like the guys and gals in the various locations around the U.S.  They're a phone call or email away!

I have never been there but do they have older mills on display in the museum?  I know they have the first mill somewhere but do they have others?

I would like to go someday and see it.

Has Wood Mizer ever produced a book on their museum?  Interesting read I am sure.

I was there with Jim, Wellmud. How are the blades working? This was our second year and the information those guys have passed on has been invaluable. The 12 hours of travel time from Detroit to Indy for 2 hrs of info is more than worth it. (There is a casino in battle creek and it seems the vehicle just has to stop about that point)

Brian C., now I understand why you guys wanted that big cant hook, you were going to need it to roll all those winnings into the back of the truck ;D I have not had a chance to try the blades yet. This was also my second time to go to the open house, I just like watching the different machines run, it's only about a 2 1/2 hour drive for me and something interesting to do on a Saturday morning.
