the juiciest bird I ever ete.
If it can't be nailed or glued then screw it

Tam-i-am

That bird looks good!

I have never tried cooking in a garbage can, but I do roast chickens standing up on a beer can.  They come out nice and juicy too.

Bibbyman

Would there be any worry about the galvanize?

Tamiam,   I'll have to loose a lot more weight before I can try roasting a chicken standing on a beer can. :D

CHARLIE

Me too Bibbyman, especially now that they make them out of real thin aluminum.  Back in the late 50's early 60's, when they were made out of steel I could do it if I could have  just been able to balance on one leg. :o

You don't have to do that, Charlie.

If you punch a couple of holes near the top and thread a string through it, you can stand on the can and hold the string or tie it to your foot and walk around.  It's easier if you use two cans, one for each foot though.  You don't limp so bad. ;D

That's gotta be a pretty good trick getting a chicken to stand on a beer can so's you can roast him!!!!   :D :D
Old Age and Treachery will outperform Youth and Inexperence. The thing is, getting older is starting to be painful.

I kinda like the whole garbage can thing 'cause if'n it don't turn out so good you can just flip the can upright and leave the whole mess out by the curb! If ya got a curb.
Goin' to be real hard to hide the evidence in a beer can. Maybe a Foster's but none of those U.S. ones . Come to think of it ,the Foster's is real good "cause it might help forget the incident!!
I been looking and can't find a metal garbage can to buy. Need several to store dog food and bird seed. There's some very aggressive rodents around here.

When my wife and I were first married, lo those many years ago, one out of three meals was a garbage can meal. ::)

Sprucebunny, we use rubbermaid containers and the like for the dog and cat food. Not to keep out rodents, just the cats and dogs.  ::) :D
I got a hold of some shipping containers, 55 gal plastic drums, with full removalble top. Might be pain to use the cover clamp every day, but the covers stay on pretty good without the clamp. They work REALLY good at keeping out rodents. You can buy them new for around $80 I think. Might be able to find some used ones cheaper.

pasbuild's pictures disappeared!!
Thanks for the idea Furby. Don't need something quite so big.
But I need to do something 'cause last week I caught three little critters by hand ( in a cup) Two came up in the can outta the dog food bag!! Got one of thier pictures before they went into astonaught training off the deck.
Almost got picture posting figured out.
