Got the saw gassed up and oil filled, screwed the ladder to the log and gave it a try. Saw ran good, its alot of chain in hardwood and we used most of it! We cut a few 3" slabs and it got dark on us. Jack said if I hadn't put that guard on there he wouldn't be standing on that end pushing. Heres a few pics, about dark so not real sharp. Can't wait to try it on some cedar should be ez, the sycamore not so much.

Well I know its had to see from there but I have a pile of stuff thats been down a year or more and needs slabbing with that saw. The sycamore I plan to use a slab of it to build a kitchen island top. I hope I can sell the rest of the stuff we dont use. By the way, that log and many others I have here are Postons favorite the smiley_devil wood. We may try to build one table out of one unless it folds up into some origami animal!

Not bad.  Being able to cut short fat chunks like that is an advantage.  It's not easy to do on most bandmills.

That piece was around 4', no way to do that on my bandmill! Not really sure how to offer that service though. I work a full time+ sole proprietership working on boats.

Yeah, those ugly logs like that can yield some awesome wood. A coffee table made with that slab will look cool.  8)

that is pudee mmartone.  How wide on that last piece, It wouldn't fit on the WM?  I too would love an option for cutting up to 60" or so.  Good job.

That old Cedar tree had a hard life.  You did it a favor by sawing it up.   :D
