I have been using a Dolmar 6400 with a 20" 3/8's 58 gauge Set up on this last pine job. The saw was used for about 25 mbf and is an excellent runner and starts well. i would like to have more power as it can be dogged down when really trying to make it cut in the bigger pine. I am looking for advice on what kit I should buy to make it an 80cc saw. i see a few out there and don't know which one to get, also the dealer says he can order OEM and be competitive with price. I bought this saw right, and will use it for a bit but want to change it over. Thanks for the input.

The simplest upgrade would be to fit the cylinder kit of the 7900.It is a straight fit and will not need any alterations on the engine.

Definitely go with the OEM kit, much better quality and better overall performance.

I have em both ways OEM & BBK.  Happy w/both.  Used an Ahlborn kit on 1, NWP on 1, OEM 7900 on 2.  Have an NWP kit in cyl drawer on standby.  I would recommend OEM esp since your guy says he will be competetive in price.  New style OEM piston is lighter takes some load off crank.
