I had to replace my blade guide arm motor last week (same motor and gearbox as the debarker). In my case the motor had seized up solid. Took it apart and found one of the permanent magnets that is supposed to be attached to the motor housing was now attached to the commutator ::).

You can buy the gears separately, you can buy the shaft separately, you can buy the brushes separately, but you cannot buy the DanG motor separately >:(.

Gary at WM told me they had done away with the roll pin on the guide arm motor and replaced it with a couple of set screws in the sprocket. Of course they left the role pin hole in the shaft so the set screw would seat into it. That doesn't exactly fix the weak point on the shaft.

That's a good tip about the triangular belt on the debarker. I'll check mine first thing tomorrow.
