This past weekend  was an awesome time for us here in Forest Co.
My Uncle from  Pittsburgh,  my son's buddy Chuck, also from Pittsburgh,  and my cousin Erik from Asheville, N.C., arrived Thursday afternoo n.  My son Jake made it Saturday  at lunchtime.
The trout fishing was spectacular 8) Saturday was my best day, with around 70 of mostly rainbow trout caught and released 8) we all caught many is and ate a lot of great food and drank a few beers. And evenings were spent around the fire with a few more beers ;D
Most of our fish were caught on Spring and Salmon creeks, although we caught a few on Sunday morning on Maple creek.
The fishing was so good  I thought I'd need to see a chiropractor for a sore arm from setting the hook so often

Was this fly fishing?  Sounds like a fantastic time!
My father once said, "This is my son who wanted to grow up and become a doctor.  So far, he's only become a doctor."

My cousin was using flies. A blue wing olive, copper john, and a few others. Everyone else was using bait.

I haven't been on Erie in several years.  I used to enjoy the superb walleye fishing it offers

Oh. I forgot  to mention  that on Saturday  morning, a nice bear crossed the road in front  of us. It was a long legged bruin that we estimated at 300 lbs.
It was the first bear my cousin had seen in the wild
