My Dad got a pretty good deal on a steel building he saw laying in the weeds at a friends car lot.
The fellow had bought 3 of these buildings and 2 he used as a body and paint shop for cars he buy's from insurance companies.
Well the 3rd building laid in the weeds and was partially covered in vines and weeds when my Dad saw it.
He brought it home and we found that there were pieces missing. Got a friend to come over who puts these things together and we all went over the plans and found what parts needed to be ordered or what could be made by welding.
After a year or so, its finally going up.
Its a 60 x 80. We chose not to have a concrete floor but rather use ground up highway we got from the state and county. I'll pack it goo and this stuff makes a great floor.
I'll add pics later as we decide if and where the mill will go but one thing is for sure......I'll have plenty of room to air dry lumber.  :) What is shown now is just half of it.

Well, we house 8 goats in a 10x16, so if my math is right you should be able to fit about 240 in there. Won't leave much room for the mill or lumber though.

I've put a few of those things up in my past life of steeler hanger.... Man I hated those buildings, now they use scisor lift to get around, back in the day one would be up on that spaghety trying to get things to woble the least as we went.... They are a great building once its all together and all tight.. but as you put that thing together ... man it moves around on ya .   :o :o

Nice score , it will make you a great goat corral!!!    ;D :D

Great looking new shed. I wish I had one that size. I put up a few smaller ones here and after the photos from up above show them here they sent out a county rep to measure and make sure I got them on my taxes. Don't know about how SC works but my county sure likes money.

Good old dad, 8)

He's been doing stuff like this for years. He'll buy more stuff from people at the country store while eating and resell everything for a profit. Some people have the time to wheel and deal.  :)

That is awesome.  Is your Dad open to the idea of adopting another Son??  Well on second thought, wearing hand-me-down hoofs might not work.  Congrats on the building.   smiley_thumbsup smiley_thumbsup
