POSTON WIDEHEAD

I was sawing firewood today with my 365 and the chain STOPPED like hitting a brick wall.
The chain came off and was actually bent a little.

I put another chain on and the clutch or something in there starting grinding and sparks were coming out.

Not knowing the problem and the shop I go to is closed on Mondays, I went and bought a 372 with a 24 inch bar. It seems to be a hoss of a saw.

Guess I'll find out the repair bill on the 365 sometime this week.  >:(
The older I get I wish my body could Re-Gen.

OH logger

I got one too and they are great saws. every one ive ever had likes to be pulled 7-10 times to start when cold, BUT when runnin they make up for it. fast and peppy!! 8)

Sounds like the chain was loose/tossed and/or the clutch needs attention.

You'll love the 372. Almost got one last year, but totally fell for the 576XT-AT. No accounting for taste.

Congrats on the new saw. 8)  I bought mine a few years ago.  Great saw.  Mine takes 5 or 6 pulls when cold but always starts. :)

I had a 576at for a few years. It was ported by a monkey in Tennessee. My logger buddy needed a saw quick so I sold it to him. I still have sellers remorse. :(

I do not have one, but the 372 is probably the most popular saw with the loggers in these parts.

I have 2009 XPW big bore model. It's been worked on a little ;D. Running a 32" Oregon lightweight bar, and a 8 tooth sprocket. Pretty impressive saw.

Have fun with your 72 they're great saws.  I run a 24" bar on mine, just grabbed a Lightweight Total Super Bar and Stihl RS chain to try out a few days ago.  Itchin to try it but its a bit cold for recreational cookie cutting the last couple days.

The 372 is a great choice. They continue to be very popular.

The local Husky shop sells lots of 372's to the pro's. 24" b/c for softwood (mostly white pine), 20" for general use/hardwood. Great choice.

Cutter/Climber

I do a lot of cutting with my 372. I have gone through many of them. I have had one or two get smashed with trees and usually get another one. I have a 385 that I use for cutting bigger timber and running a 24". I run a 20" on my 372 but I am cutting hard woods.
