Today was tax time for me!!!

Glad I bought some stuff last year!  Bought a new rotobec loader, a new pickup and a used pick up. Wife payed in a lot at her job so we was alright. Maybe she will figure it out and start filing separate so she can get some back. Hope not !! ;D

I took a beating this year payed my estimated tax and then still had to pay another big check today :(

It is claimed they "fixed" the AMT a couple of years ago.  They did, they fixed it so that it removes all of your itemized deductions and leaves you with nothing but the standard deduction tax due.  I never paid the AMT until they permanently fixed it, now every year I get walloped by it.

I would take a flat tax any day and stop all deductions.
