Gas tank cleaning

i saw that the Stihl manual recommends cleaning the gas fuel tank and the bar oil tank yearly.  How do you guys clean the tanks, if you do. ?

might as well go ahead and replace the fuel line cause after a year they get brittle and need replaced. i think they design it that way!

Pull the lines and filters, dump in some gas mix, shake and swirl fast and hard, dump, repeat, replace lines and filters.
