A picture Issue

Jeff,

I initially sent you a PM about this and thought I should post it rather than keep possible info to myself :D

If I upload a pic which turns out to not be the best of quality (ie. took it at night time and want to edit the image and re-load it) can I take it out of my folder and re-upload the 'new improved' picture?

If the photo is not linked to the forum yet, it won't be a probelm at all. If it is, you need to make sure that you upload it as the same file name it was so we dont get one of those horrid red x's replacing the phot in the post. OR, go to the post where you linked the photo and replace the old photo code to point to the new photo.

Jeff I tried to upload the same pic (after editing) using the same name, but a squiggly line and 0 was placed at the end of the filename and now I have a duplicate????????????

You had to delete the first one first. Delete them both, them upload the one you want to use.

sorry to cause yo uso much greif so early in the morning - but how do I delete I can't see anything about deleting on the FAQ's or find anyway I can get rid of 'em :

Should be a buttom right under the picture. If you cant find it, let me know what ones need to go and I can do it.

Aw Heck ya got me Jeff,

all the time I've been on the Forum, I've never looked at PM or AM, just my background 0630 is in the morning and 1830 is the evening, so when I saw 06:30 I never even looked any further to see the PM!!!!

I even just remarked to my wife, it's six in the morning over there look how many guys are on the forum!! Geese they must be holics alright ;D :D

Anyways I'll look for the delete I know you have enough work to do without having to stop ya dinner to fix up some fella from down-under who can't see the forest for the tree's ;)

Whoohoo, now I know that would've meant ya missing a whole moutfull o grits to do that for me - specially as it was so quick, after I went into "admin mode" it was too easy.

Geese I amaze me at times.

Quick tip to all out there, dlete ya pics if ya stuffed up, calls for ya to be in admin mode

Now, dont forget to make sure you have the right picture pointed at the forum thread. If the new picture is a different name then the old one, the picture will be gone from your thread.
