At the Logging Conference, Husqvarna had there new model of saws in operation with factory people present to answer questions. I talked to the manager for the new design and he showed me how they have two carburetors. It was interesting to see the cylinder and piston and how the each of the carburetors feed an air/fuel charge at different times during the combustion cycle.

They have linkage that opens up the butterflies on the carburetors as the throttle is open,  I thing this could be a headache to keep them in adjustment, just my thoughts.

The fuel is only in the top barrell, the lower barrel is only air and starts to open at half throttle. It is a very smooth saw to run and 14 oz. more weight  than a 372
it does have torque but at a different rpm than a 372 it is at a lower rpm, and it does have a rpm limiter so make sure you keep the carb set correct, most people will turn the high speed jet in to far thinking this will make it rpm better but all it does is make the saw run lean and have no power

Hope you asked the Husqvarna dimwits why they made the 575 1# heavier than its predessessor, the 372.

O yeah, thats right.  The dimwits never had to carry it around all day.

The New Husqvarna....where the engineers are handier than a 1 legged man at a ass kicking contest.

Hey Hoop.
Quit surger coating it, and tell us how you really feel.

Although I am less than pleased with husky's latest effort, My wrath is for those who handcuffed the engineers with the new emission standards. At the rate things are going we will soon have three choices.

1) Put up with a 20# saw that has .5 HP on a good day.
2) Electric saw ( and a really looooooonnnnnnnngggg extention cord.)
3) Sharpen up the old hand saw.

Get use to it cause they are all going that way because they have to to make the saws legal in the states, just wait 2 more years and see what everyone will be bring to the table, it doesnot look good . I have one logger that has bought 3 -ported 7900's last month and will be buying 4 more to have 7 and that is just for him so he will be set for quite awhile for saws

someone link that new husky.

eventually everyone will be running 7900s anyway.

Can't buy Dolmar here and Makita does not offer the 7900. They will be forced to play the game too.

makita dosent make a dcs 7901?

if makita dosent, dan or ehp can!

In Canada just go to Makita , there are 40 -7901's sitting on Toronto , it is the same saw just in blue as the 7900 from Dolmar.
