Homer did you pickup the Nyle 200 that was for sale in the Bargain News a few weeks back? Looked like a good deal. Theres a couple of Mill/ Nyle Kiln owners down here if you need to look at something for ideas.
Lot of stuff..

Homer,
Call Nyle and get them to send you a manual.  It's a good investment and they are also great people and represent their product well.

Thanks for the advise. Tried before. I have the manual. The auto vent seemed to cause trouble, as you reverse intake and exhaust positions per the instructions that come with the auto vent. I'll call Nyle again tomorrow. Homer

Homer,
When you get it figured out I would really appreciate it if you would post the solution.  I will be building the chamber for my Woodmizer DH4000 kiln, which is a Nyle 200 with a Honeywell controller, and I am a bit confused about the venting also.  I have asked a similar question here before and did not get any informative replies.
Thanks.

when you use the power vent kit, the exhaust is on the suction side of the circulating fans, the same side as the unit. The intake is on the other side of the fans, on the pressure side. Wen you do not use a power vent kit (most people) then the exhaust is on the pressure side of the fans and the intake is on the suction side of the fans, in other words just the opposite. You use the same holes for you decide to add power exhaust later.  Just the air flow changes.

Thank-you, Don.  That is exactly the info I was looking for.

I have an L200 & I am using the regular vents rigged up to open and close pneumatically with power from the air compressor in my furniture shop. I use a seperate electronic temperature control to operate a solenoid. That solenoid controls air to some small pneumatic cylinders (1" travel) which are mounted on the vent doors to open and close them at whatever setpoint I choose.
It is pretty handy and I don't have to worry about temp so much. I can set the unit and forget it for the most part. Of course using the powered fans might be cheaper in the long run, but I was able to cobble this together using surplus parts from work and eBay for next to nothing. ;D
