Sounds downright miserable and even after it is healed, will be super tender for months more than likely.

I have mashed nails that came off a few days later, but only ever ripped 2 off, one finger and one toe, neither was anywhere near as bad as yours, as they didn't require any doctor to get involved.

Hope it heals with no problems and you get back in action soon.

So how did the ho down with the Doc go? Did he think the bone would heal back?

Oww. That's gonna leave a mark. Here's to you mend fast, and even the tenderness afterward goes away quickly
I believe in the hereafter, because every time I take two steps into the tool crib to get something I wonder " what did I come in here after"

If nothing else I'm always a good last resort or the guy to hold up as a bad example

Few years ago I had a run in with a joiner and shortened my right "trigger" finger up to the first knuckle . The skin with my finger print on it was still there so the folded it over the end of my nub and sewed it on . The coming week I had a welding test at the fitters hall for a job out at the nuke . I had to cut the finger of the welding glove to get my hand in it . While using a file I wacked the wound and broke a stitch . It hurt . I passed the test though . Another time I snapped my pinkie toe on a washing machine leg in the morning while getting ready to go take another welding test . Broke it 90deg. to my foot . The pain was so bad I could not make sound . I got my work boot on and went to take the test . My point ...?  Power through ! What doesn't kill you will only make you stronger . I hope you heal real good soon but try and get back at millin as soon as you can !

Scully,

No. The moral of this story is stop taking those welding tests. Your body can't stand the abuse. :D
