Goose, I had to map that out of curiosity.  That's 5 hours and 45 minutes to your place.  He's actually closer to me than you!  :D

Well, wasn't me.  Not trying to steal your customer.  Don't have any Red Pine anyway.

On the other hand, if he wants some Eastern Red Cedar, you are welcome to give him my number.   :D

What are they wanting?  Pine, hardwood, or does it matter? Green, or air dried or does that matter?  I guess lots of construction is still going on in your part of the world.  That area has been growing a lot since the late 60's/early 70's when Helen went from sawmill town to alpine wonderland.

Grew up in Robertstown.
Growing up I can remember 20 sawmills within 20 miles of us. Now theres 2. Seems like the push is more "rustic" these days. They don't care what it costs. Green off the mill is ok with them.
Yep, I guess yall and Mt Yonah are the only two?  Or is Mt Yonah closed down now?  Haven't been home in several years so don't really know.  Is the hardwood flooring plant still there in Cleveland?
Mt Yonah is long gone. Its me and Hogan now. Last two sawmills standing. Atlanta hardwood and Wilbanks lumber are still running their lumber yards. Thats pretty much it for North Georgia.
Yall still out there in Leaf?
Yup. Same spot. Come on by and visit sometime!

Nothing wrong with the forum.  I was simply pointing out how difficult it is to read and understand replies with multiple quotes stacked on top of one another.

Just trying to reply specifically to someone replying to me. Other forums are much easier to use, and don't require a rocket scientist to post pics. But neither here nor there. Have fun.

irvi00, you have read enough of my replies to know that the only intent that I ever have here is to help someone.  If I seemed to come on a bit strong or critical, then I apologize because that was never my intent.

The thing about the Quotes that confuses me is when the quoter writes his response inside the quote box.

I am quite easily confused though.

I have had a 4 month up tick in the want for my lumber because it is rough sawn and native. No kidding. There aren't many people offering the services that I do near me.

Find another then. There has only been going on two million posts here. Yea, it must be tough to be here. I try my best to make this place the best it can be and then I read crap like this.
I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

I just went over every one of your posts. Not one time did you ask for help with something in regards to posting a photo or a forestry forum function. In fact, until just this topic, you hadn't even griped about anything.  I just spent I would imagine around 200 hours in the last month going over the Forestry Forum to try and make it better for everyone going forward.  EXCUSE ME ALL TO ---- for being a bit thinned skinned at the moment.

Its the way the quote function works.  I've seen the ability to choose to single quote or quote the entire message string on other forums.  This forum doesn't use that feature, or have that feature in its software and when you hit the quote button you get the whole string. He was only making sure that I knew he was responding to me.  Seems the neighborly thing to do .

Quotes can be edited to remove the unwanted segments. Highlight the parts of the quote you want to insert and the hit the quote button.

The new function, using the highlight, is an AWESOME feature.  Jeff - or maybe it was my good buddy  Testaccount - did a video on this feature and it breaks it all down.  If this technology dinosaur can do it - anybody can.
