I've been milling since 2008 with a LT 15 and after developing my business I've decided that its time to update to a LT 35 Hydraulic. So I call WM and tell them I'm ready. I fill out a credit app and get approved. While talking to the salesman in GA he tells me they have 3 already to go. I say great and choose the mill and accessory's and tell them can I pick it up at their MT Vernon MO facility. Thinking since they have 3 already to go I figure I can get it in a week or so. I sell my old sawmill and I put $5,000 down on the new one and call the salesman in Mt Vernon after discussing the sale and down pmt. he tells me that I can expect delivery In 4 to 6 weeks I say wait a minute I thought you had 3 ready to go? I was under the impression that since you had them ready I could get it a lot sooner. He does some checking and says they loaded it on a truck today (one week ago) and I can expect it on the 31st of this month. Now here I'm sitting without a sawmill and am giving excuses to my customers. What's wrong with this picture?
On YouTube you show a whole parking lot full of sawmills and you said you had 3 ready. Why does it take so long? I love you WM and have nothing but praise for your customer service in the past you guys are great! And so are your sawmills.
Desperate in Arkansas without a sawmill.

Well, I hate to be the first to be negative, so first of all ...  congrats on upgrading!

But .... assuming and figuring and expecting ... those are a long way from nailing down a schedule with facts. Those details should have been solidified up front with a question and answer session at the time of down payment.

I don't really see how there is any way to misinterpret  "already to go".  This holds especially true to me when the salesman says we have 3 already to go. That would tell me they are sitting there Ready to go. There is no other way to be already to go without them sitting there ready to go. Poor salesman tactics.

I feel bad for you, but I believed a salesman once too ... just once ... when he told me that if I had warranty issues on the new truck I was buying for my business they'd loan me one while mine was in for service.  He promised ... I believed ... silly me.  Now, if they won't write it down they don't get my money.

Did you get a tracking number? You posted they said it would be ready on the 31st. That's still 11 days away. Have you called to see where it is?

I'm curious why you were talking to the dealer in GA ?

Arkyrick

They never offered a tracking number. yes I was talking to the GA facility but they transferred me to the Mo facility because it was closer to me. I've dealt with WM for years and ready to go to me means ready to go. The funny thing is the same Ga salesman sent me a broshure yesterday asking me to call him if I choose to by a mill.😁🙄

When you say you chose accessories were they items that needed to be installed? That could affect the ready to go date. From what most folks here say they (WM) would want to go through it good before they delivered it. I do feel your pain, but I wish my problem was I have to wait for my brand new  LT35 to be delivered! With the weather we are having here, I would be glad to wait. 98*-75% humidity, building a 18x40' pool deck.

Well lets add a little fuel on the fire, it was loaded on the truck a week ago, and will be there in another 11 days. It would have been nice to have loaded it on a truck that ran, instead of having to push it by hand. lol

Don't stop with it being late! This is warranty time. Your piece of equipment comes with a 5 year warranty, it's a 4-wheel drive tractor with a winch and loader. Center of front wheels crack 1/2" outside of lug holes. Call dealer, get new centers and again each year for four years. Regional Rep is called in by dealer just before warranty is up and in need of the 5th set of wheel centers. Looks at tractor, states "for using this in the woods and skidding logs it's in pretty good shape." My reply was "yup, gotta take care of it." Then he says "you must be breaking those centers by lifting to much weight with the loader." I said " nope no way". Then he says "this is the last set of wheel centers you get as the warranty is at the end." I was upset and suggested the problem hadn't been fixed. Rep indicated the end of the story. I called the next level of management, was told they would check into it and call back. The call back came and answer was warranty is ending. I went higher. The issue was resolved! Wrong sized front wheels on the tractor for having a loader. I had lost several days of use of the tractor while waiting for replacement centers. For the new wheels and tires I had to pay for the wear of the wrong size tires for five years use but I got to keep the set of wrong size wheels and tires. Figure I did ok when I sold the set..

Your first mistake was assuming "ready to go" meant ready for pickup. If it's ready to go at the factory they still have top get it ready to ship, then get it to your dealer. Fret not, I made the same mistake when I ordered my LX450. I sold my LT35 hyd, because I didn't want 2 mills I had to wait 8 months for delivery. So in the mentime I upgraded the mill site...

It will all work out.

I talked with Will yesterday as far as he knows it's on the truck and will be there at 8:30 AM but he added don't come to pick it up until you call first. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed🤞
