Hey guys I'm looking at putting a tigercat winch on one of my timberjacks. I know some about the allied. I'm wondering about the Lantec. What's the line pull rating? Is it fast? Reliable? Easy to work on?

Dumb question but what's your rotation ? Why not go with a 4000 ?

Pto drive and requires a separate hydraulic system for control as well. And price....hydraulic driven I can make work on any machine I believe. Not sure on control details yet. Have some questions out there. Getting feedback

There's got to be a way to adapt them over, I see a 4k on a 640L I move is hydraulic drive, no PTO shaft.

These tigercat winches are cheap and all over the In the south. The allied was Clark then Lufkin now allied. Same winch. Always heard good things about them. The lantec Seems to be More available and is a smaller package. I like that. I just don't anything about them. I do know tigercat doesn't seem to
Mess around with junk. All their outsourced components are from top quality brands.

Yeah I see pictures of it 👍, why I was sort of wondering on winch options. I've just never touched anything TC / Allied so dont know, that 4k winch of mine will pull about anything you put behind it or something's going to break.

I'm going to put it on the 350. I'm totally rebuilding that as well.453t is totally rebuilt. C series cab. Steering wheel. I'm thinking I'm going to convert it to a cable machine. I'm not to keen on the grapple On it. And I don't like the Eaton winch at all.Dont get me wrong I like the 4000, it's just price and availability right now. And I love a challenge.

You might need to check the capacities of the various winches used by Tigercat.
Carco winches used on 630 etc.

The newer WH400s have had some modifications made to them. You need to check if you find an old WH400 whether it can be upgraded.

Picked up the Lantec and some other stuff. If anyone is looking for tigercat parts Jody White logging in Pamplico SC. Great guy. He's got a ton of stuff.
