Sawmill Blades

I'm looking for recomendations for my new to me Norwood mill HD36, I cut Ponderosa pine almost exclusively , I have a Woodmizer account , will they make the blades and do the resharp ? I like the ones with the thin kerf. I had some for the woodmizer that would almost pull the blade through the wood! I also cut in the winter "Montana" The  frozen pine is almost as hard as the frozen log-dogs!

What band length do you need? I am sure they will be happy to sell and sharpen bands for you.

I'm getting ready to put the first log on my hd36 this weekend. I bought a box of 7 degree Norwood blades when I bought it. I was using Wood-Mizer 4 degree double hards on my Timbery. I'm sure the 7s will probably cut just fine, but I don't know anywhere to get them sharpened. I'll probably end up using WM or Kasco unless I but a sharpener.

FYI, there are saw shops, at least regionally around most areas where there is forest. The one I use from Central City, KY (about 2.5 hrs from me) services the large sawmill industry in a several state region and that includes mills which do some of their own sharpening on big bands inhouse. My place runs a box truck on route and since I'm a very small fish in the pond I call the main office and find which day I can meet their route man at his motel (usually the evening once he's settled down & doesn't bother his regular day) near me for dull blade delivery and again for pickup. I order new blades based on old ones that are exhausted over the phone. Fact is my guy services a few mills a couple miles from me but I don't need blades very often. They also do my planer blades as well. 
Since my blade guy sleeps over near our grocery spots it is easy to combine both purposes and negate shipping altogether. 
Given that there are several blade brands and each has it's niche to some degree I highly recommend that the OP try various blades designed for his purposes. I like WM blades OK but another brand better.

Woodmizer will make your bands and sharpen them.
They did for my Thomas mill.
