I have a badger wood processor that is needing to be re-cabled. I have searched high and low for information in attaching the cable and am coming up empty handed. Anyone know where I can find info on how to attach the new cable so I can get up and running again???

Oh, a Badger winch, you had me wondering for a moment. ;D How is the old one attached? Clamp on the spool?

Look for a hole in the drum or sideplate of the drum.  You probably crimp on an electrical connector eyering to bolt to the drum then wind up one full wrap of cable before applying load.  Friction will do the rest.

According to Warn, 4 full wraps, THEN continue.

To clarify i didnt mean one revolution, i meant one full course of cable.. Maybe 20 revolutions to layer the whole drum.  But if warn says 4 turns it should be fine.

10-4 Mike. 4 wraps hand tight and close spaced wraps on base layer (closest on base of drum) is what you want.

Plain old and simple copper electrical connector is what are on all of their recreational planetary winches anyway. My upright (8274) uses the cable going thru the drum, doubled back to itself, and a cable clamp. Yes, that's from the factory. I have a friend that is a distributor and I helped him with sales and ideas. I even helped him to make some legitimate money doing so.😁
Trying harder everyday.
