I'm sawing freshly cut spruce and I want to know the best way to deal with the resin buildup on my blades and wheels.  I have been sawing with no water or lube up until now.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank you

Some people swear by, and others swear at, using a drip of diesel fuel on the blade.
Others use a mix of water and cotton spindle cleaner.
Still others use a concoction of dawn or pinesol or ERA cloths washing detergent with water or windshield washer fluid in the colder weather.
Measurements are usually gluggs per gallon depending on the severity of the situation.
Good luck,

I have used most all of it and i have found that besides spindle cleaner diesel is the best on pine. with my lubmizer i squirt about every 6 to 8 seconds . it is nasty looking on the mill but it will keep the pitch off the bands.

I use windshield washer fluid (winter), water (spring, summer, fall), with Pinesol and a squirt or dawn. It's been working well for me.

Windshield fluid w/pinesol in the drip and diesel in a squirt/spray bottle. I use the drip until it starts building up (you'll hear it), then just a little squirt and it clears right up.
