Any uses for tension logs in TF?

Any uses?  I have a bunch of leaners as well as beefy tops and limbs that could make some thick pieces, but are under too much tension to get quality lumber out of.

Would cutting a limb to 10x10, letting it move, and then resawing to an 8x6 work out ok?  I figured cutting shorter sections for knee bracing would mitigate a lot of the tension in a log versus taking 8'/12'/16' chunks of wood and hoping for the best.

I see Nothing wrong with your plan.
I think most,if not all tension should be gone immediately after sawing
(knee-braces wise).

Many older style TF depended on natural "cruks",so has shipbuilding,et c.
Possibly(probably?)there were a set of problems to work out, like with everything, but i'd definitely try.

Best of luck.
