I've really never timed them but I think my 2100 and the two Partner P-100's cut  about the same .In theory they should be close as they are the same bore and stoke .As for the Husqvarna it was never popular here so mine is the only one I know of in this area .Compression static is 165 so I think except for the v stack intake with a K and N filter it's stock .I've never had the cylinder off  to check but weather souped or stock it's got enough as it sits .If it ain't broke don't fix it . ;)

I re-read my post and it kind of reads like I think my 262 would keep up to the 2100. I totally meant the 394, just worded it a bit wrong, bad grammer me.

Not to annoy the Swedish saw afficionadoes but I have a souped up Stihl 038 magnum that will out run a Husqvarna stock 2100 on small stuff .When it gets to above 20-24  inches the contest changes .A saw just like a man has to know it's limitations .That said I like the Swedish saws .

That was the point....smaller saws than the 2100/2101 will outrun it easily in smaller timber. Lugging around a heavy 2100/2101 with a smaller bar in smaller timber is a ridiculous waste of a good saw design.

Husky saw a change in timber scale needs in NA and came out with the 394 and then the 395. The 395 stayed popular all this time and is considered a 'big' saw. Now you have the 592 with autotune....if it ever hits the shelves.

Doesn't annoy me one bit. Have a couple friends that are Stihl guys. This latest 394 cane by horse trading some Stihl stuff for it. They are good saws.

Maintenance plays a big role in how good a tool is perceived to be.  A poorly maintained 066 or 394 will annoy the best of us.

Yep! I've had saws that spent time airborne back in my younger days.

Not trying to drag this thread too far off topic, but I am curious as to what a good condition, functional 394xp is selling for at this time.  It does not appear to have been used hard.  Bar side faces are well worn off from use.  Can't see any paint remaining on the bar.  But no blue or heat indication on any part of the bar.  24" bar.

There's a few variables in my opinion. Is the saw all stock or does it have some cheap after market parts that change the picture quick? A friend rebuilt a nice 288 with a cheap Chinese jug and piston and didn't last long.
Around here it would go for around 7-800 Canadian or more if it's a real good one.
