I got the monster cant turned.  I used the Magic Hook and the clamp.  Lifted with the hook.

and used the clamp so it would not slam onto the bunks.

At this point, I used lowered onto the clamp, removed the hook, then lowered the clamp.

Taadaa............................................

Then it was off to pickup my Grand daughter from school.  Gotta inflate Christmas yard thingies before sawing the cant.

I see a lot of beautiful vertical grain flooring in that log. What is the plan for it?

As far as the breaker goes, it's doing it's job. Aside from not using or taking off the debarker to gain just a smidge there isn't much you can do.
She had a lot of huge knots once her clothes were off.

This knot gave me lots of waves.

I almost got the wave out, going real slow, on the next pass.  It was with a newly put on blade.

I cut a big knot in a red oak yesterday with a tired blade and it waved a little at me so I switched blades then cut a 3/16" thick trim cut to straighten it out which it did. One of my helpers asked why I did that and I showed and told him and he seemed happy to understand.

Do you have sap issues with that pine? Are you  a diesel user to keep it off the blade like many I see here? After sawing a lot of pine (White pine for us) I need to use a lot of WD40 to scrub it off the mast and such.

Brandi,

I have thought about buying two more rollers also to use on my two center side supports (backstops as you call them) but haven't done it yet. I figured they'd be more useful on the small stuff than the big ones. Let us know how they work out for you.

I assume you are using the 4X6 in much the way I was thinking of using the combination toeboards (Rollers) and clamp. I'm guess you raise the log with the toeboards and clamp then put the 4X6 under one side and lower the cant on to it to shift the center of balance and help roll it over. I may have to give that a try some time. I can see where that would help you turn the cant in stages.
A roller on every "side support" would really shine trying to turn a knotty, twisted log.  I have had those before where a big knot hangs up on the "unrollered" side suports.

The monster was dropped Tuesday.  No sap issues.  I only see heavy sap when it is left out in the sunshine.

I know no photos means it didn't happen.  But today a friend of mine and I edged enough pine to make about sixty 1x12x8 and about thirty 1x3x8 for B&B siding.  These were all flinches I cut while fulfilling the 4x6 order.

I wore here out.  She is 71, but we had a blast and afterwards grilled steaks and baked potatoes.  Sorry Lynn,  no photos of the steaks either.  Guess I was so gitty to have company, I blew the camera off.

Hey Goose............63, I can drive up and take that piece of equipment off of Y'alls hands.  I will give Y'all a pretty penny for it.  I need it so I can have an excuse to buy a John Deere D model to rebuild and run it.
The D model was what Grandpa still had when I was little.  I never saw Grandpa drive it, but my Dad and Uncle sure worked it.  When were up there for "vacation".

I found a stump that was being thrown away after a tree was cut down in someone's yard. I rescued the stump and was able to get a couple 4 inch thick cookies.

The picture is actually me standing beside one of the scraps...the actual cookies were too heavy for us to stand up safely. Its about 68 inches wide at the widest point, the cookies are each slightly larger
