I was looking a the turbosaw slabber but assume the other brands are the same.
I see what looks like a lube bottle on both ends of the bar.

Does the bar get oil like a chain saw plus water or lube from the bottles or does the bar just get oil?

Thanks

Long bars need an oiler at both ends. Chain gets too dry before it makes it back to the oiler when running around a bar that long, as I understand it

My Lucas has a bottle at the tip of the bar. I run regular 30 wt. oil in it and you can control the volume as you're cutting. The Lucas chain isn't running at the speed of a chainsaw so you don't need the sticky of regular bar and chain oil.

I ran used 15w40 from diesel truck in my slabber, recommended by peterson for lube properties.

Hi Erik,

We add water to the bar face near the entry point of the timber just lubricating the surrounding surfaces, which also helps to cool the bar.

Oil is added within the channel so both liquids are offering different objectives.
