Hey guys, I've spent way too much time on the phone and online only to be met with dead ends. Maybe someone here might have a lead as to where I could find blades to the following specifications:

340"
2" wide
7 and 10 degree tooth angle options
7/8" tooth spacing
Carbide tipped

Yeah... Its a BIG saw. It can cut up to 92" logs. However I'm at my wits end trying to source blades for it locally (Canadian).

Any help?!

Have you used regular blades and just wanting too try the carbides?
What part of Canada are you located?
Can your mill use 1-1/2" blades?
We have had good luck with the Cooks blades.

We have had good luck with the Cooks blades.
Because we mill large, live edge slabs mainly from urban(ish) settings, the only blades we've found to be reliable and hardy enough to deal with this type of milling are carbides. We got 80 standard blades with the new, large mill and have been incredibly underwhelmed with them compared to what we're used to on the two woodmizer mills we have.
We are in Ontario.
2" is the minimum thickness.

Urban wood and carbide teeth, in my mind, don't go together. What do you do when you hit a nail? Perhaps you have a powerful metal detector.

We do have a large detector and anything it doesn't pickup won't affect the carbides. As long as the carbides you use are the right grade!

Just an update, we found someone who can custom make from ripper 37 stock for our size. Still looking for carbides in the meantime but the rippers seem to be outperforming the 'stock' blades by about 4x

What profile is your stock blades?
Two LT70s, Nyle L200 kiln, 4 head Pinheiro planer, 30" double surface Cantek planer, Lucas dedicated slabber, Slabmizer, and enough rolling stock and chainsaws to keep it all running.

Any Canadian sources recommended for carbide blades?

I'm looking for 144" 1-1/4" 0.042" 7/8"

I can get non-carbide blades from woodlandmills 1.3 TPI for $25/ea
I can also get non-carbide 7 degree Kasco blades from a local supplier for $27/ea but they are only 1.1 TPI

I am looking for something to cut red pine/white cedar/spruce softwood as well as some maple/ash

Would anyone recommend the Kasco blades with the 1.1 TPI over the 1.3 TPI?
