Blade Hammering

I wanted to take the time relate what a great experience I had today at Moraska Saw in Powers, Michigan. I had talked to Mark (newer owner and former employee) last week on the phone asking if I could wait while he hammered my blade since it was a 250 mile round trip for me. He was very receptive to my being present for the whole process. What he said would take between an hour and two, was actually well over two hours as he took the time to explain in detail what and why he was doing at each phase. Its been a long time since I have had that in-depth
br> degree of customer service ANYWHERE. Being a retired toolmaker, I was completely fascinated at his ability to move the metal and make it behave as intended. I could tell that Mark was excited in having a couple young employees that were "apprenticing" the trade and carrying on the lost art.

They don't do many saws that small. I would dare say if you keep your teeth square and wide you will never hammer it again.
