Information sources for Australian Timber Framers?

Hey guys I've been nerding out over timber framing for years and have decided to jump into it and work towards a business. As Timber-Framing (post and beam) is very uncommon in Australia I am struggling to find information about what species people have had success with ect. Any advice from Aussies who have tried it out or any books that list australian wood properties (I am struggling to find a good one) and any other general advice you fine gentleman would be willing to give would be greatly appreciated.
