looking for a millwright to install a mill

Im looking for someone that is familiar with circle mills that can set up a mill in my building. I've been running an old frick for a lot of years. We just bought an HMC the complete mill with all the tranfer decks for the edger and resaw. I would appreciate any suggestions or help to get everything up and running. I know its not something that can be done in any short time. Thats why im looking for someone that has experience to do this

What part of N.J,? I can't think of anyone within 200 + miles and they are old and busy where they live. What is the Frick sitting on?

I'm as far north and west in NJ as you can get. I'm about 20 minuets north of I80 at the Delaware water gap. My frick is sitting on a concrete slab

The best I know is RL Kellum in Biscoe, NC. Kelly Kellum is who we used to uninstall and move a resaw from Missouri to NC.

We must not have the same customers as I have not herd of you and we are so close. I have sawed 43 years but only the last 23 full time and i am very small, working alone most times. Are you going from hand set to automatic ?

moodnacreek my frick was converted to an automatic mill before I got it But at this point its 65-70 years old still works good but I'm trying to upgrade everything. Beyond the mill I have a band resaw with a runaround that I have never installed also a couple years ago my brother bought a newer style cornell edger with laser lights and infeed and outfeed so I'm trying to get everything inline working together to be able to push more volume out. Yes we bought this mill there. It was the uninstalled one sitting under a building. we bought the complete mill then some of the live rolls and a couple transfer decks.

When we put our new mill in, we used an industrial engineer to do the design work and electrical work. He was also doing our maintenance and repairs on all our equipment, except rolling stock. He oversaw the installation and did the welding. The millwright was furnished by the mill builder. They cut corners, but the IE didn't. We almost lost him due to people meddling in his design work that had no idea what they were talking about.

You might be able to find an IE to help you with design work. For mill installation, I'd check with some people in the equipment trade to see if they know of anyone.
