I recently bought a 664b skidder with a 4bt cummins that had no brakes. I pulled it up to the shop the other day to put an automotive disc brake on it and a new master cylinder. When I finished the brake install I fired it up to test out the brake. I noticed right away that the winch kept turning and I could not shut it off. I also tried to drive it and it doesn't move at all. I put a Gauge on the pressure regulator and the needle didn't even move. I still have hydraulics so I think the fiber gear is still good. I drained the fluid and pulled the suction screen. It was clean. I pulled the regulator off and took it apart and I don't see anything wrong with it. The springs are plenty stiff and not weak or broke. What else can I check before ordering a new charge pump? I also changed the transmission filter after I drained the fluid. Everything worked normal before I put the brake on it.      Kevin

You could try to bleed the pump see if that helps.

In the process of bleeding the pump I found a pin hole in the suction line. I have a new one ordered.

I was finally able to get the suction hose replaced. Bled the pump and now its good to go. Thanks BAN for the help! Kevin
