Thanks for the suggestions, Robert.  Our diesel drip usually works well.  We have a short piece of fuel line attached to the drip nozzle that is squished on the blade.  We replaced it on Monday, and I had to cut a slit in it to disperse the diesel on the blade.  Having it deposit the lube/diesel on the other side of the blade roller is something to try.  I have a brass ball valve in line that we use to limit the flow and I also have a fuel primer bulb in line that I squeeze a few times when the blade gets sappy.

We added an old OMC VRO tank and hose for the diesel.  It is mounted on top of the fuel tank.  We seldom use the WM lube tank, but it still contains cotton picker spindle lube, which works well but is not locally available and costs more than diesel.

Y'all enjoy your Thanksgiving.

This 1 gallon pump sprayer was my poor man's diesel lube system on the LT35

I used it as a supplement to the dish detergent and water.  When the blade showed some buildup I could reach the green lever to add a spray of diesel.  I routed the hose parallel to the regular lube hose.

It worked good.
