anyone use these?  went to fab shop today to have the plate bent.   i figured 2 6' wide and one 10' for slabs would be a good start.  it is a constant battle to keep debris picked up either from mill, edger or trim pieces.
regular dirt buckets just don't work well
to contain the mess

I use something similar I guess, self dumping forklift bins, about 3 yards each, I think, for sawdust and cutoffs and they work great.  When full, they are picked up by any machine with forks and dumped. Huge timesaver.

Take steps to save steps.

If it won't roll, its not a log; it's still a tree.  Sawmills cut logs, not trees.

Kiln drying wood: When the cookies are burned, they're burned, and you can't fix them.

Sawing is fun for the first couple million boards.

Be smarter than the sawdust

I have been trying to score some at the auctions, they seem to hold there price most of the time or they are too far away. The price of steel for one if you bought new steel would be a chunk. Do you know about what you will have in them?

New ones from Uline are $1,800 to $2,500 ish depending upon capacity- 1 cubic yard or 2 cubic yards.  We used them at a manufacturing plant to collect and transport scrap to dumpsters.  We only had forklifts so the dumping hoppers worked well.

Uline isn't the least expensive but they have them in stock according to the website.

I've been playing playing with making 3 sided bins with home built quick attach plates for my FEL.

We use them on large jobsites since we heard the plywood box styles were no longer acceptable.  They're great for what they are made to do.  We always get them from our equipment rental supplier. Not sure what the price is since we haven't bought one in a while.

for that material at salvage.
but maybe i should just use  mild steel as this isnt in an abrasive environment.
the ssl connection plates are 150 i think.
hopefully it won't be too ridiculously expensive
