My setter manual does not list the tooth count for 171" blades for LT50.

I calculate 194 teeth.   Is that correct?

My setter (Woodmizer BMT250) hasn't been counting correctly.  I've been marking the weld and just watching it to get it to stop.

Obviously, the switches for programming aren't set correctly.  Can anyone assist in correct switch settings for 171" blades?  Again the manual doesn't provide much for this size blade.

Ted, assuming 7/8" spacing = 195.4 Teeth so is it 195?

Also the tooth setting is right, left, no set.  195 when divided by 3 is a whole number.
I vote for 195.

Have you counted the teeth to be sure? Or is the question more complicated than I am understanding?

If 195 teeth  then since this is divisible evenly by 3, set the counter to 195 (and always make sure to position the blade correctly before starting on auto.

My blades are 195" and have 223 teeth, not evenly divisible by 3, so I set  the counter to 222, which is evenly divisible by 3. It stops at 222, with one tooth left which I ignore. It is critical to identify the first inside tooth of the repeating sequence inside, outside, straight, right after The break in the pattern caused by the extra tooth, this unbroken repeating sequence beginning right about at weld, and position the blade accordingly. Otherwise, the whole set gets messed up. On blades, whose tooth count is evenly divisible by three, like the 158 inch blades I used to run on my previous Sawmill, which have 180 teeth, the Setting can be started anywhere with proper alignment to the beginning of an inside, outside, straight sequence.

I went out to look at my BMT250 counter. The tiny display numbers At the bottom of the display read 000222. Below the Display are  six rubbery push buttons numbered one through six, from right to left. Each of these rubbery push buttons when pushed toggles its corresponding tiny display number from zero through nine and back to zero. Buttons 1-3 are used to set the 222.

If same on your setter And you want 195, button 1 will set the five, Button 2 the nine, and button 3, the one.

It must be a senior moment or something.   Thank all y'all for the help.

When I got the setter I got it right for 158" blades.   For some reason I've struggled with the 171" blades.

It's coming back to me now.

It would be cool if the BMS250 had a tooth counter and we didn't have to dick with them magnets. 😳

I run both at the same time. I mark the weld and go. With getting more blades ready. Looking for the mark from time to time. I'm never standing around, ffsmiley

Agree, waiting/counting to 17 before putting on the magnet takes a bit of extra time.
