Yes, too bad he deserted the forum in 2016 because he thought we were all deplorable.

This is my favorite posting of all time and I have said it many times. With today's freezing weather it's a good story to read.  At the time twenty years ago I had the same exact ideas and it was wonderful to see Robert follow it through.

I just finished reading through it Red, it was quite the journey.

Yup, and the guy who started it disappeared from the internet and the forum as soon as the results of the 2016 election, asking me to remove the 2 shameless commerce ads he had on the forum. No clue what happened to him. He had been to several pigroasts, and members had stayed at his bnb  and he had stayed at our cabin twice.  Then. Poof. I believe there is a hidden story we knew nothing about. You don't just evaporate off the net like that.

Often wondered the same, what happened to and/or with OWW. Was a good contributor and supporter of this Forum. Organized a fund raiser to support the forum, and maybe some behind-the-scenes discussion took place. Big question. Sad to have it happen, but can't please them all.

OWW and wife Linnea would stop by at Da Rox in Roxbury, WI on occasion and surprise burlkraft and I.

Others met there on occasion too.

Had to look that town up. I've been to pretty much every city that is a city in Wisconsin, that may be one where I haven't been there. ffcheesy
Though I have been to Sauk City right next to it, where Craig Culver started his "Culver's" restaurant franchise business many years ago. ffsmiley

I think the last time I was to a Roast (2014), he, his wife, Jeff and I went to the cabin, but we also did some exploring that time at some parks. Looking at his last few posts, I don't see one negative one. I've always wondered where and why. I hope he is in good health where ever he hangs out.

Glad this post was brought up. Was way before I joined up but I really enjoyed it. Lots of interesting people have been on this forum and I would have liked to have met them all.
