Very severe winter here for the deer. We saw 6 carcasses on the lake from wolf or coyote kills. My neighbour has been feeding them and we ended up with 20 every day. The snow is mostly gone now, and I have convinced my neighbour to stop feeding the deer, let them go back to their summer home. 20 turkeys are here now that she is feeding 2 toms doing lots of strutting.

I have coyotes here.
I have found dead deer in the woods.
Every time I go back there is less of the deer.
We can hear them at night, sometimes close, real close and sometimes far away.

I feed the deer in the wintertime, but when there is food for them to eat in the woods they stop coming.
I cannot get them to come to grain when the snow is gone.

The deer was out in the fields last night too.

Two deer this morning up by the woodlot. That lone hen was around in the corn field and one fox under the hill that the dog next door scared off.  ffcheesy I think there is about 9 or 10 deer around here, that's about it. If they have any fawns they should soon break up and go on their own and have them and raise them. Bucks you hardly see, they stay hidden or only around in low light hours. Any I seen killed around here was early shoot'n. I have not seen a buck track here for over a year. I know there was lots of dry does last summer, they stayed in small groups.
