I drove a miserable 3 hours south, dropped off cedar, headed to the er in clare and they kept me. I knew they would, the way I feel, thats why I headed south. I dont mind being stranded, but I wont strand my dog!!

Just some food for thought (GROSS!) Clare hospital has way better toilet paper than every south bound rest area between Da yoop and here!!  You may see me carrying my own in from now on. I bet I get looks though carrying it back out!

That's nasty stuff (I'm reading about it) and can lead to something a lot worst if not treated. Hope they get it under control as quick as possible.

Some places have some pretty darn thin toilet paper, more like tissue paper. :D

I had C Diff, not fun at all, it put me in the hospital for a few days, but luckily no surgery.  Martha has had it too, not as bad, caused by antibiotics.  Certainly based on the way you are feeling, I hope they get very aggressive with it, especially with the bleeding.

My wife had a knee replaced with the mandatory massive antibiotics  to keep infection out of the picture.  A month later she had either Ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease according to the doc.  So off we go with multiple camera insertions and multiple prescriptions.  Three months latter not a sign of inflammatory bowel disease, called it something else before it was identified as C Diff.  Still waiting to see what else they come up with.

The Normal me would be saying "let's blow this popsicle stand"  The current me is thinking "please don't send me back home feeling like this!"

Only positive thing to report is that this is deemed not infectious. They removed the restrictions for entering my room. Still trying to find some answers. Not getting any better yet.

it is Monday so hopefully evaluations will be in high gear.  Your body will ultimately heal itself with the help of, or despite all of the medical intervention.

They took me off clear liquids yesterday, and I was able to manage a grilled cheese sandwich before they came back in and demoted me this morning to full liquid. Not near as restrictive as clear liquids.  I'm about as weak as I've ever been.

Of all things!! My hospital phone rang, and I said hello?  They said are you there? I said who is this?  Then a spam call about how trump was going to disrupt medicare!  On the hospital phone!!

It was the only thing i thought i might handle. They took solid foods away again today. Ive been sick a long time.. 5i growing tired.

Ulcerative Colitis .is the diagnosis. The plan is to give me more antibiotics today along with some butt pucker. Imodium, and perhaps let me go home tomorrow.  Stact has surgery last tuesday on her hip, tammy has surgery friday. I need to get back on my feet.  They let me eat this morning.

Well, I don't think I'll be coming home. I had major blood tonight, enough the nurse took a picture to put in the records and said she was calling "the provider" who ever that is. That has resulted in that they ordered more labs and a surgery consult for tomorrow.

I had rolled over on my left side and got pain in my right side. I laid there about 15 minutes and had to urgently get up. 

I had had a good day yesterday and was convinced I was on the upswing.

I am glad they are not in a rush to send you out before you are really on the mend.  They may end up sending you to a university hospital if they cannot nail this down.  You may need a gastroenterologist to look for the rare stuff.  If they do a scope, they can do a biopsy to see what is happening on the microscopic cellular level.  I am getting tired of all this misery, I can only imagine where you are at my friend.  Keep the faith.  Doc

Provider is a "nickname" for whoever is taking care of you that day, and includes doctors, nurse practitioners, and PAs.  Do they have a gastro at your hospital?  We have only one and are a medium sized hospital.  At a university or large hospital, they will have a whole GI department.  This is sometimes par for the course, as they try treatment for the common stuff, but if things do not get better, they have to look for the unusual stuff.  Godspeed.
