Finally saw a couple fawns in the last few days. It seems they're running a little late here this year. However, the elk are calving early.  Had 5 calves in one bunch of about 15 cows that were standing on the meadow day before yesterday, and the rest of the cows were all really heavy.  Gotta keep those wolves fed. :uhoh:

I kicked up 2 fawns yesterday. One I was riding on my 4 wheeler checking last weeks weed spraying results before all the rain. I stopped about 20' from it and it waited a bit then jumped up and ran. The other was not long before dark and I was spraying a thick patch of weeds with my backpack sprayer and almost stepped on it before it busted out of there. Hardly a day goes by we don't see them now. We see the does 3-4 times a day n the pasture, in the woods and in the yard. I often walk or ride within 30 yards of them and they just watch me go by and resume their munching.
