Last night at 8PM was 96* and 45% humidity. Oldest son who lives 4 miles away got 1" of rain in 30 minutes. Was threatening all over us and we got just enough to barely wet the grass! After early spring rains it's turned out dryer than a popcorn f**t!

JD, I wet the grass outside my shop behind the smoker 3 or 4 times a day!

It's lite showers today so lite you could avoid the drops but then you just ran into a mosquito . It was so smokey I think the rain drops had a black tinge. I am really getting sick of this crap . The air quality has been so bad I haven't been able to work outside much for 3 weeks :snowball:  :snowball:

It's like living in the Amazon around here this summer. Hot,  humid and rain every little bit. All I can do to keep the grass cut and try and keep the brush from taking over the place. Got plenty to do outside but it's hard to make myself do it.

While some of you have been getting too much rain, we here in Northwest Montana have been REALLY dry!!! Our creek has been bone dry for a couple months now, and our hay fields are all short and brown.  That all changed as of about 4am.  I got brought upright by a really close and really hard hit of lightning that lit the inside of our house up like we were welding in the kitchen!!! I sat up and thought that's just what we needed.... high winds and 90 degrees yesterday, now lightning.  That's when the rain started.  We've gotten a much needed and very much appreciated 1.25 inches already, and it's still coming down good!!! I can't wipe the smile off my face!!!  Tomorrow it's supposed to be 75 and sunny again for about a week, then we're supposed to get a bunch more moisture.  We'll take it!!!!
I'm so far behind, I think I'm ahead!

Done by noon today on the clearing saw, got in 6 hrs. 82° by then, suppose to gain another 5° by 4:00 pm.

Did pick a box of raspberries when I got home. Been picking and freezing for jam. Not a big crop this year. Blackberries look loaded though, pick them next month for jam to.  :sunny:

I had enough of the heat by 10:30 this morning. Was 80° by then on the way to 93°. No clouds, but bad air, full of smoke particulate. They said don't get carried away working hard in that.

8 Days without rain. Rough pasture I mow several times a summer is starting to dry enough so I can mow without leaving muddy tire tracks. In the woods it's getting dry with some dust but surprisingly the fire danger is still low.

Machinebuilder

I'm tired of the mid 90's and dew points in the low 70's. I think this is 3 weeks straight.
I hope we get some rain, it won't help the humidity but it would be good for the fields

I am watering my garden every couple days.

70° this morning on the porch, 85° out there now. 6 hrs on the saw today. I'm working on a tough hill grade, but will be through that after 3 more tanks of gas are run through it. Tough hill , thick, and tough heat is all around tough.  ffcheesy ffcheesy

Seem like we would get a couple weeks of hot weather. Now it just seems like a couple days and then it cools off.
Kinda like the winter weather. We would get temps in the single numbers for a couple weeks. Now it's like a couple days and them it warms up.
A real fast shower came in. Hard and fast.

65° and we will have lots of sun to enjoy today, but temps will not be in the 80's.
Looks like a cool week ahead, some 70's and some low 80's.
