16 inches yesterday in 8 hours.  thunder snow / 25 ft visibility or less  Mini blizzard.
$$ plowed all day yesterday 11a-7p  and cleaned up 9a - 2p today.  Got a little shoveling to do tommorrow to
  get at the mill.

DanG

Nope.  Got no snow.  That's not to say I ain't got to do some shoveling to get at the mill, though. ::) :-\

Not BS.  I have people to shovel that for me, right here on the Forestry Forum.  I'm talkin' sawdust here, folks.  Sawdust!  I'd offer to sell ya's some, but this thread would get moved to the commerce section. :-X

Man am I ever jealous. We were promised a "big snowstorm" and it went out to sea. The southern part of Maine got a foot of snow, but up here in the mid-coast area we only got three inches. The sad part is, it is already melting down south but sticking around up here because we are a bit cooler.

I just bought a new sled (8000 dollars) so I should have known I would never get a chance to use it!

DanG I just happen to have some extra snow I could let ya have cheap  ::) Just send a truck we can work out the details later  :D. Then you could be like most of the rest of us.

Only got about 2 inches, but just enough rain on top to settle it good. Temp has not got above freezing enough to speak of. Shady side of the hill. Looks like its here til spring. :'(

I am still trying to find a Christmassy picture for the contest but all we have is mud with a few ice patches. A couple came to the store on motorcycles yesterday :o. It is more like April than December.

We've had a couple of heavier snowfalls, an 8" and a 12-14" and several lesser ones but after settling we now have about 12 " in the woods. It seems to stay about the same in the woods, settles or melts about the same as we've been getting lately. I'll bet we get more soon and the snowshoes are in order if going very far. Good thing my little tractor goes thru about 30-40" depending how heavy and crusted it is, the chain all around really helped. I can drag a good size log thru over 2' of snow, get no dirt on it and it pulls rather easy with the chains. Only time I slow down is if I hit a deeper spot where the snow drifted more level than the land did. I do however drag a smaller log when breaking trail unless it is real fluffy, then go back for a bigger one. My longest drag is less than 1/4 mile.

Nope - no snow. Think perhaps one is schedule for the next ice age though...
So, how did I end up here anyway?
