You're almost there.  Getting them uploaded to your gallery was the tough part.  Now use the "image insertion code" to include them in your post.   8)

Everyone has hobbies...I hope to live in mine someday.

the problem starts there, when I click on the image insertion code, nothing happens.

Something did happen, you just didn't see it. (the link got highlighted)  What happened was that the link to the picture was put on your computer's clipboard.  It's the same as doing a copy.

Now that you have the link under control, you go back to your "create post" window, place the cursor where you want the picture to be and.....

Right click and Paste.

the link should show on your window.
You can do a preview and see the picture and then a post to make your post appear on the forum.

Because the capture of the link and the pasteing in the window are two different  functions, you can  put several pictures in the window before you make the post,

Tom I have the same problem. It might be my computer I thought it was my computer until i read this. I hit  the click to copy photo insertion code. At the bottom of my screen it says transfering data from sm2. sitemeter. I have waited as long as 10 minutes and nothing happens after that. As I said this might be a problem with my computer. Any ideas?

Tom

No idea why you are making contact with the sitemeter.

You can highlight the URL and right click and copy.  It's the same thing and will put the link on the clipboard.

I'm assuming you are browsing with Internet Explorer

Jeff

You wont see anything happen. The copying happens instantaneous. You can also simply copy the line of code you see under the photos that begins with [/code]

THat makes this picture appear.

I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

Well i tried the copying and that didn,t work. I am going to the eye doctor sat. to order some new glasses and then i might be able to see them little letters under the picture. Going to get my daughter to help me I am sure I am doing something wrong.
Thanks for the help

Jeff

The little letters UNDER the picture IS what you need to copy if the click here dont work.   :)  You dont need to read them to copy them. :)

The only way to get what you have there is to try and right click on where it says:

"Click to copy photo insertion code" and then selecting copy shortcut.

If you are using interet explorer, try this once. RIGHT click on the words:

"Click to copy photo insertion code"

You may not see anything happen, but it might have. ;)   Now, come back to your post right click where you want your picture code to appear, (You wont see a picture until you post, only code) then select paste and the code with the [img] tags should appear.

Thanks everyone, I got it now. I think this Mozilla does things a little differently than what we expect. I ended up clicking and highlighting the link and then pasting. That worked next time I will open in IE to see if it is different.
Can I resize the photos in xat? I was able to crop them there then I had to go to adobe to resize them

If you get the image optimizer from xat, yes, you can resize, if you get the jpeg optimizer, all you can do is optimize.
