They sent the wrong chain. It happens. What happens AFTER the human error is what counts. I was the second one today to have recieved crosscut chain instead of ripping so they are sorting it out to find out what is happening. But they are also going to give me a free upgrade and overnight the correct chain as soon as they find some.

Anyone can make mistakes, great customer service is defined by how you handle it after the fact. Thanks Bob.

I have been doing business with Baileys since they first started and continue to do so for that very reason, GREAT customer service!

I also have always recieved the best of service from Baileys .I might further add that Gregg Grande is a master at finding hard to find items.

Just my luck. I go to braggin  . . . . . .

My chain hasn't made it yet and worse, they don't know where it is. They tracked it to Memphis and "poof!". No 10-20 on it. No ETA. No Nuttin Honey.  :)

Oh well. Thier track record is so good with me this one incident won't change it.

The farmer's and rancher's here say "Pray for Rain". I am saying "Pray for chain!" :D

I started buying my 1/4" cable there too, they say call if not listed in their catalog, so call I did. A bit more expensive then JCW, but, far better quality, especially on the swagged loops.

The custom loops they did for me have held up better then my hand clamping to hard yanking of trees.

Probably the carrier's fault, eh?

I would assume so. Still haven't seen hide nor hair of the chain. Hopefully tomorrow. I will call Bailey's again, but the guy said for some reason they are unable to get any info on it after it left Memphis. i asked why and he said he didn't know. For some reason the tracking simply ceased after it hit Memphis.  ::)
Can't be Bailey's fault - I don't see how it could be.

My chain just arrived exactly one week after I first posted this. I had called Bailey's and asked to speak to Bob so I could ask him why he did not ship it overnight as he had promised. I have left 2 messages for him to call me since Thursday. No response still.  >:(

I think that is the first time I have ever used an angry icon on this forum. Could be wrong but I don't ever remember ever feeling moved to use one. I had explained to Bob that I wanted it shipped overnight not because I felt they were obligated but because I wanted to beat the colder temps and rain that was forecast to sweep in. I even offered to pay the extra shippiing charges. He said no it was not necessary he would gladly send it overnight at their expense and a pickup label for the wrong chain. None of this came to pass. the box was not sent overnight. Another mistake okay, but not calling me to at least offer some sort of explanation has now moved out of good customer service.

They still get a passing grade for the semester but they got a F on the last two  assignments, dropping their grade to a B-.

I've had issues with them 2 of the 3 times I've ordered something.  However, they are always polite and they always make it right.  Never anything big.  Yes, I will order more from them....maybe pretty soon.

I buy 97% of my logging/firewood processing supplies from Bailey's and have NEVER had any issues.  I've never even talked to anyone.  I order everything online and it generally arrives within 4 or 5 days depending on the time of the week it was ordered.  There have been a few times when items were backordered but I learned long ago to keep my shelves stocked and re-order before I run out  ;)  They get a good solid A from me.

I ordered my lucas mill this week from Bailey's  8) 8) 8) and would like to give a special thanks to DJ. He was very helpful with everything. I've been ordering from Bailey's for years and never had a problem that they didn't take care of ASAP

I`ve always been very happy with the service that Bailey`s has given me but ironically the only complaints about their service that I have heard always involves the wrong item being shipped and then the trouble encountered thereafter when trying to get the correct item. If there is ever an issue that really needs attention just ask for Greg Grande when you call, He da man!....and he`ll get things right.

The only time I have ordered from them, they messed up.
That was three years ago and I haven't bothered to order from them since.
I may order from them in the future, as I belive in giving them a second chance. :)

I ordered a tiberjack and a book from bailey's a few months ago. The timberjack arrived, well packaged, and the packing slip said that the book was in there, as well. Hmmm...looks like an opening in the side there where a book coild slip out...no, no book. IO called, they got me out a replacement book, I had it in three days.

OK by me..

Bailey's has been great to me  :)

They lowered the shipping on the last item so I would have a zero balance on my Bailey Bucks  ;) I asked them for some window decals for the pick up and they don't have them but they forwarded my request to the graphics department.

They get an A.
