DL?

Hmm I am not sure what that is. If its a "disabled list" I am on it right now. If its a "downed log"  Deadheader is looking for it. If its "dumb luck" we all could use it. If its "dead last" its my wife cause she's always late.
I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

Jeff

I just thought, I have seen a commercial for a DL chipper, is that it?

That's "DR" chipper, jeff :D

I guess a DL is one of a hundred new mills on the market.  I'm not familiar with it by that name. :-/

A freind of mine here in Terrace B.C has a D&L Double cut mill if thats what you are refering to. I have watched it cut several times and have been generaly impressed( I have a WM LT70). He has the biggass grandaddy model with a kubota deisel and has cut logs about 48 inches in diameter. He can rotate logs with his model but rarely does(alignment conflicts). The hydralic clamping system gives him a bit of grief from time to time, needs tweeking. He dont need an edger and he dont have to sharpen a crapload of bands every night like me...but...he hires me regularly to resaw his 2 inch into 1 inch as the sawdust factor is too costly for him with one inch. There are quite a few D&L mills in the Northwest of B.C. and they definitly have several strong points.

Hey Guys,

Check out your new Shootout issue of Sawmill&Woodlot.  D&L Came to Bangor this year. They were new to me too.

The unit works like a MD with Two Blades, but has a four post system on a bed similar to a bandmill.  It has a separate power unit for the blades and the carriage.  I never got to see it cut.

Speaking of Sawmill&Woodlot I was embarrassed for Logosol when I saw that crooked cut from their Timber Jigg posted on page 44.
The first cut must have been rough.
I'm sure the Jigg works better than displayed by the picture.

Duke401,  What was the cost of yer mill???  Is it the 2 blade and does it have dragback features???  Tell us more about the mill.  I went to the website and no prices and the pics were small. Couldn't tell much about the mill.  Thanks

the saw i bough was a syncro saw, they were for 24 inch logs an i wanted to cut at least 36 inch log. so Lance custom built mine. still the same head but spread out an a bigger carrige,an i wanted to cut 3 foot long logs so he put in another log dog .my mill has a log turner an all the rest rest comes in the saw package.price altogether not counting shippage was 9200$ .the log turner was a extra 800$ i relly hate to post prices but i think i got a lot of saw for the money, a 8 by 6 is the biggest cant it will cut with out turning the log.
guys i dont know nothing nerer seen a saw run but the one i bought, just looked around an liked this idea the best. for my personal use, as soon as i figer out the dig. cam. i will post some pic.
