I posted a Video on youtube of some atv trail rides of when we were up on vacation.
We had 38 minutes of trail video but will break it down to 3-10 minute videos that will fit youtube's 10 minute quota.  This is the first one.
Most of the time I'm holding the Camera with my left hand and driving with my right. ::)  Some videos my wife is with me on the atv taking video.
Next trip I am going to come up with a Furby Cam or helmet cam.
Also added some tunes to drown out the machine noise. ;D

yup Stonebroke ,,
Farm, logging, private roads, back yards... Some small towns will even use the paved shoulder on in town streets so folks can access the downtown areas for food and gas etc...

KOOL Video !!!

I remember that ride very well from last summer,,,  nice trail systems up here in the north country..

Maine is hoping to have an interconnected ATV trail system from one end of the state to the other as with the snowmobile ITS (Interconnecting Trail System) already has in place...

We are so fortunate to have as many gracious landowners that allow the general public to use there property for the summer and winter trails !!!

That particular trail at the beginning of the video is a Cross Country ski trail in winter and an atv trail in summer.  It is on town land but as Pappy said there are many landowners (hundreds) who grant access to their land provided members stay on marked trails.  What is neat is you can drive on the right shoulder of paved access roads to Gas stations, restaurants and other services as long as you go slow.  The area is ATV friendly.  Irving recently granted select woods roads for access.  I hope they open up a few more.  The one the club got from them this year is a fantastic ride.

Yep, a big change reddog. :)
Here is #2
The first part we had to go around where the Beavers had blocked the road with their dam.  It was really rough but easier than it had been a couple days earlier as the water had gone down about a foot in the trail.  While in the trail in the center of the Beaver Dam, the dam is over our heads.  This was on a recently opened trail that the Irving paper company opened up for ATV'ers.  It brought us out to Long Lake which is about 20 miles from camp.  We went back to camp thru another trail opened up this past year.  It was some fun.  You'll have to come up. ;)

My advice on aging gracefully... ride fast bikes and date faster women, drink good tequila, practice your draw daily, be honest and fair in your dealings, but suffer not fools. Eat a hearty breakfast, and remember, ALL politicians are crooks.

Sent you a PM.  Here is #3.

Ya, we are lucky to be pretty lax on the atv laws. I have met sheriffs on my 3 wheeler going right up the hot top and just waved before.
JD 540D cable skidder, and 2 huskies- just right.

Do you have a lot of trails down your way Maineloggerkid?

Maineloggerkid

We don't have any atv trails. We have winter snowmobile trails, but we aren't supposed to take our quads on 'em. We just ride anywhere we want, because we have no other choice.

They blew up the Beaver Dam that was in the first part of the video in Post #5.
We used to cross in the front of that thing and it was over our heads when we were half way thru the trail.
Well now it is no more.  This thing wasn't on a running stream, it was more of a ditch in a low lying area in between some rolling inclines.
