Yes, ditto on the last response.  Let's hear about the log truck...looks like you got that orange mill 'figgered out.

Minnesota_boy

I want a log truck just like that one, but when I mentioned it to the wife, she just said no. :(
I eat a high-fiber diet.  Lots of sawdust!

The truck is a '58 Ford with what appears to be a homemade loader on it. The truck was bought at a farm auction and the loader came off of an older truck that we already had. The loader is powered by pto off the truck,
pto drives a auto rearend and the "winch/hoist" operates
off of brake drum on rear end. Works great, for what it is. Been in servicefor over 20 years all together on both trucks. since we've had it.
Will try to get better pics of truck this weekend.
Also will have entry for ugly truck contest.

I sawed about a gazillion feet of flooring from reclaimed beams with a LT30 when I was AT the flooring co. before we got the Baker resaw running. A great cutting little mill, had to get a few bugs out though. Finally got it cutting almost perfectly from one end to the other, boss said"  Cuts better now than it has since the dropped it with the forklift :'( :'( :'(

Kind of strange looking at the early Wood-Mizers and comparing them to the new models.  So much of the basic machine is same yet so many other little things have changed from year to year.

We had a Ford 3600 tractor for about 20 years.  Every time I looked at some of the early Fords I could see the same basic tractor – just updated with new sheet metal and features.  Then later the newer Fords of the same size and they still had the same basic drive train.

Has this mill been updated with hydraulics?

BTW.  Good job on the pixs.  I bet now you are an expert.  I know I struggled with the first couple of tries but once I got through the process I looked back at how easy it really is.
