We got this in a appreciation basket along with some other goodies last spring when we purchased a 4H kids Steer at auction.  Turns out this is the best brush ever.  It's a rubber brush that also is easy clean up over the ones I used to use.  (The paint brush type)  The short handle doesn't bother as I only baste sauce on after the Meat is cooked and the coals aren't flaming.  Thought you may like to try one next time you're at the store. :)
It doesn't come with the pen silly.

I got one a them.

They work great!

Norm uses one of these too, only ours does not have the wooden handle, so we can wash it in the dishwasher.  smiley_thumbsup

In MY  kitchen we have a philosophy...If it don't go in the dishwasher, we don't need it!

All my wood stuff goes in there, but I oil all my wood regularly. If they are saturated with oil water shouldn't hurt 'em.

My Mom didn't teach me much. I always did the opposite of what she told me anyway.

I wrecked a lot of her stuff.  ::)

I had a lot more fun too!   ;D  ;D  ;D

I have one of those brushes with a stainless handle, and yes it works great 8)

My dishwasher cleans wooden stuff, and cast iron pans, and plastic.  Sometimes she cleans the counters and floor and does my laundry too ;) :D
