Fellow FFer's,
I just have to share my good fortune... I got up here to the Northland at the end of  a great lumber Run to Chicago, Milwaukee, and the Twin Cities to find that one of my friends got his second LT40.  He wanted to test it out so I teasingly told him I wanted to fill my trailer back up for the return trip home.  He mentioned a log sale nearby and we went over to visit.  They were just starting to load the big crane semi's which was just about to put my great day over the top when the owner said pick whatever you want and we will sell them to you for  the same as the mill for pulpwood!   :o We picked the best 15 logs out of 800!   :) Now I have milled Northern Basswood (about 2 hours from Canada), yellow birch, Aspen, black Ash burls, and I am potentially picking up 200 bdft of dried black ash lumber for the return trip!  Talk about luck!  This is stock that I couldn't find down near Chicago.  Can you believe the luck?

And as luck would have it, Burlkraft and I caught Reberly trying to get by Madison this morning, and managed to "inspect" his load.

Had a good Forestry Forum visit (and we let him continue on).  ;D

It is good that he got his load officially "inspected".  Now he is legal  :D.

By the looks of that load he has on I think he is way underloaded according to the redneck DOT.  If'n there's space to fill better fill it to save on fines.  ;)

beenthere, how could you let him get away with that?  You should have confiscated the load.   :D   :D

reberly, looks like you got a fine whack o' lumber there.  ;)
