That's what I'd call a seamless addition. Looks like it was built right along with the rest of the house.

Does your cabin sit on a ridge? Looks like you have a nice view out the back ... like maybe a valley falls out below you or something?

Thanks, yes, I'm on probably the highest elevation on my place.   It's rolling hills country about like where you live.

Oh no, it's not complete.  Only the outside of the front of the Addition.  I still have the fascia, etc. on the North and West sides plus all of the interior.  I just hope to have it completed by the end of this year.   ;D

Great job!

I don't know how you can get so much done in that heat. I'd be sippin' sweet tea under the shade of the tree all day. ::)

Thanks, I'm at a standstill now.  The sawmill jobs caught up with me big time.

I had hoped that by now I could get back on this project.  It looks like mid September will be my earliest possible time to do any work, and I seriously doubt then.  Saw jobs are stacked up, plus the last two weeks in October my Son and I will be in Colorado.

I can quit shaving after the Pig Roast.

Your winters are a lot milder than here with all them daffodils poking up in January down there. So you've got all kinds of time whenever your free and not have to worry about the biting cold. ;D

I finally was able to get a bit more done.  I hauled the remainder of the 1X6 & 1X8 lumber to the site and finish installing my facia boards.  No pictures of the facia because of tropical storm "Lee".

The last load of lumber.

Hope the storm is not a event and causes no damages. You guys on the east side have had enough super storm events this year that's for sure. What model is your John Deere? looks alot like my 2240 but my nose is different.

Well, I'm thinking more like it was that tire that went flat twice in the last couple weeks. And maybe it's in transit to or from the shop.  ;)

Finally I was able go get some more interior work done.  I have been at a standstill since the first of July.

Anyway, I completed my ceiling sheeting.  This is 1X6's that the actual ceiling will nail to.  I will now prepare my ceiling material and start nailing it up.

The only folks that know what the ceiling will actually be are the members that attended the Chickin Crispin.  I'll post pictures as I progress.   ;D

It kinda looks flat, but the ceiling is actually a 4/12 pitch.
