Stihl 270 to 362 - Need advice

I currently have an MS270 that's not quite two years old. I have absolutely no complaints about it at all. I just have an itch to get a new 362 (I am never satisfied

). How much of an upgrade am I going to get in power? Is it going to be worth my $700? Thanks in advance.

Cabin, throw a 20"dia.hunk of firewood in the truck and go to dealer and ask for a demo. saw it into little slivers,run his gas out of the tank. judge for yourself! wont cost you a dime. and who better than you can you trust! I love Stihl,s, good shopping. Tim

I am no expert on either saw, but you are going from about 50cc to 59cc, and approximatly 3.5 to 4.6 horsepower. Probably the best thing is you are going to a professional model which is probably built a little sturdier for extended use. Is it worth it? Only you can decide that.

For what it's worth, more often than not I'm grabbing the 362 over any other saw at work. It's a great balance of power and weight

If I was going to carry the weight of a 362 and it's cost, I would go for a MS440 instead. I would buy a lighter MS361 before the 362 or just use the 270. Go compare like the others said.

$700?????paid 600 for mine it runs really good

Actually, I'd rather own the 560 XP (similar power, lighter weight, small mount bar instead of the large mount on the 562), but it seems they are not going to be sold in the US.
