Lou was knocking on the door this morning before daylight.  He wanted me to come over for the departure.   Lou had me put his beloved sawmill up for sale about 3 weeks ago. https://forestryforum.com/board/index.php/topic,53471.0.html

Today it left for a brief visit to Neebish Island so it can be showed off, then it will head to Ohio to its new home with member Whittler.  I think it's going to a good home. Wish it was my home, but I'll get over it. :D

Here is Whittler with his new mill at Lou's

Here is Lou.

Lou is a nice fella, glad he was able to sell the mill and to a forum member to boot.

Lou and his wife had Jeff and I over for supper one night on my 2010 trip. He also let us take the ATV's on some of his trails out behind the house.

We all age, and for some of us it comes too quick.  :-\

Lou has himself a little paradise at that spot. :)

Lou's mill (I think it will always be "Lou's Mill") is in Ohio. I caught the 6:45 ferry off of Neebish. Got home about 4:00PM (Wed). Drove in the rain all the way to Grayling. I haven't had time to do much with it yet but will soon. I met Lou and His lovely wife, Catherine and Mr. Jeff. What great people. I could have stayed all day but I had to catch a ferry. Can't wait to start making sawdust!
