Howdy,

I would like to introduce a young musician out of Northern Illinois, and her name is Alison Coyer.

www.alisoncoyer.com

I first heard Alison play the hammered dulcimer a couple of years ago at the Franklin Grove Summer Harvest Festival.  I was very impressed!  And when Nicole and I were planning our wedding we tried to locate "that girl who plays really good" to ask her if she would entertain at the reception, which was celebrated in a 108 yr old round barn.  We were unable to find her until a month after the wedding and I was given one of her cards.

I hope you enjoy her music as much as we have.

That's the first time I've ever heard a dulcimer played. Alison is definitely a very talented musician. Thank you, I enjoyed listening to her play. :)

WOW, shades of Alicia Jones. I'm a big fan of the hammered dulcimer. It's a unique instrument, been around for centuries. I have one, built it myself, but alas can't play didley. I can hear the music, but the connection between the desired sound and the physical movements (it's called talent) just ain't there.

Piney,

Well I sure hope you have somebody around that can play that dulcimer. It's too pretty to set on the shelf collecting dust. Bet it sounds sweet too in the right hands...
