Introduction

Hi everyone, grreat forum, lots of help and nice folks. I live in northeast Alabama and recently bought a 1993 model WM LT 25. It has not been run in a few years but is in ok shape, needing belt, some zerks, lube tank, one leg bracket straightened. It has 11hp and cuts slow so I checked compression and only had 30 lbs. I found a good 18 hp briggs v-twin that I will be installing. Meanwhile I am sawing and learning. Clearing out a side shed on a barn to get out of the weather.Almost finished with a DH kiln so I can mill and dry. Maybe do a little for that niche market later. Here are some photos.

I am not sure that the little dog in the third pic approves of the mill :D. The mill has that nice wood-mizer salmon patina ;D.

And Welcome to The Forum Steve ;) ;D ;D ;D 8) 8) Your on your way Mate if your aiming at working your way into niche markets with dry wood I would take your time build yourself some shedding to store your wood with easy access so you can go through and get out what you want easily down the track ;) Also with milling just cut the type of wood you are chasing for the market you are targeting just saw n keep the stuff you want and any interesting pieces Mate ;)

Thanks for the kind comments, espesially Furby and Magic Man for the picture posting guidance, that got me going. There are four horses, one is mine and the other three belong to a lady who supplies summer camps, they stay here 9 months and go to camp for 3. You may not have noticed but, the nearest log in that photo has a coffee cup on top, I may have to split it with a chainsaw. One thing I've learned is that my mill is MANUAL.
By the way Magic Man I lived in Brookhaven in the early 70's. Lots of fond memories. Steve M

I did too. Matter of fact we moved here in 1970, and we are still making memories. Do you have or know any folks here?
